GOODBYE

Black Mountains - Goodbye

Tthe day to say our goodbyes finally arrived. A last look around and tidy up, and then it was back home. For some there was a bit more walking and sightseeing before the return journey. Others needed to return before the busy rush hour set in and also had commitments awaiting on Tuesday - thanks Dan for giving me a lift back to London! These pictures were a last minute reminder of what had been a nice mid-October CLOG away break, with good exercise and of course much socialising.

This is saying Good Bye to the Cwmfforewst Riding Centre where we stayed over the weekend.
The scene has a slight touch of J.R. Ewing.

Beyond is what looks like a Welsh village street with the only "private public house" known to me.

The pub is the "Old Ram's Head", open by invitation only.

In the background, Castell Dinas hides behind a tree.

At Cwmfforest, this is the only stallion amongst all the mares.
No doubt, he can justify his existence - apart from appearing in
my final picture from the Black Mountains!

Thank You Everyone!

Thank you everyone - "lift givers", event leaders and all - for a pleasant away break! For many of us, the Black Mountains were a new experience! A return visit should indeed be considered!
